Robin Hawkins

In my northeast Indiana studio I start with gallery wrapped canvas and acrylic paint for the first layer. My paintings are built with layers of texture and color. I am inspired by nature and life's moments and there are many words that are good descriptors like contextual, conservation, intuitive. My floral paintings are loose renditions of the flowers. I paint the shapes and colors, in the words of Charley Harper, minimal realism. I also incorporate mixed media, collage, and natural items.
