Transfixed, tricked and beguiled. Lost in the leaves, the beasts take the lead. Marie creates small, delicately detailed mixed media drawings featuring seemingly sweet subjects in strange (and sometimes slightly scary) situations.

BIOGRAPHY

Marie grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and her MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Marie currently lives in Fort Wayne, IN with her husband david birkey.
